Will my EA pass a prop firm challenge?
A test that passes is not a promise that a prop firm challenge will pass.
A passed rule check means the strategy stayed inside the rules on the data it was tested on.
Check these first#
You can ask these of any robot before a challenge, with or without Oathra.
- Does your firm allow an EA at all? Its own page decides.
- What is the daily loss measured from, and at what hour does the day reset?
- Is the overall loss limit fixed, or does it trail?
- Does the firm restrict trading around news, or holding over a weekend?
- At the risk you plan to trade, how close did the test come to each limit?
What the check reads#
The loss, drawdown, target and day rules of the rules you picked, consistency, inactivity and weekend holding.
What it cannot read#
News-time limits, copy-trading bans, a rule your firm changes tomorrow, your live fills.
The results it gives#
- Passed The target was reached, the trading days were met, and no rule was hit.
- Passing so far The profile has no target and nothing was hit.
- Failed A loss or drawdown rule was hit on a profile that has a profit target.
- Breached A loss rule was hit on a profile with no target, or a softer rule such as consistency was broken.
- Incomplete The test could not settle it.
