Choose alert channels and quiet hours
Moved from the old guide.
You choose how Oathra reaches you, which alerts it sends and the hours it stays silent in Settings, under Notifications.
Control what notifications you receive, how you receive them, and when they can reach you.
Notification Channels#
Three delivery channels, each with an independent toggle:
- Browser: Desktop notifications through your web browser. Requires granting notification permission when prompted.
- Push: Mobile push notifications on your phone via the Oathra app. Requires the mobile app installed with notifications enabled.
- Email: Notifications sent to your account email. Best for non-urgent alerts and recaps you want to read later.
Alert Categories#
Each alert category has its own toggle. Turn on the ones that matter to you and silence the rest:
- Trade Opened: When a new trade is detected on your account
- Trade Closed: When a trade closes, with P&L summary
- Drawdown Warning: When you approach daily or max drawdown limits
- Losing Streak: When consecutive losses hit your threshold
- Session Start: When a trading session is detected starting
- Session End: Recap when a trading session ends
- News Alert: High-impact news events approaching
- AI Insight: When the AI Coach generates a new insight
- Account Disconnect: When your EA stops syncing
Recap Notifications#
Periodic summary notifications that recap your trading activity:
- Session recap: Sent after each detected trading session ends
- Daily recap: End-of-day summary with trades, P&L, and key stats
- Weekly recap: Week-in-review with performance trends
- Monthly recap: Full month breakdown with comparison to prior months
Each recap type can be toggled independently. Most traders keep daily and weekly enabled and turn off session recaps if they trade many short sessions.
Quiet Hours#
Set a time window during which no notifications are delivered. All alerts generated during quiet hours are silently discarded (not queued). Useful for blocking notifications while you sleep or during non-trading hours.
Quiet hours use your configured timezone, so if you set 22:00 to 07:00 and your timezone is GMT+2, those are your local times.
