Can software stop my EA at the daily loss limit?
Oathra's Guardian cannot stop a robot. It warns on both plans. On the paid plan it can close positions when a limit is crossed: by default only the ones opened through Oathra, and a robot's own trades only if you allow it to close every open position on the account.
Guardian does not stop a robot. A robot on your MetaTrader keeps running and can open new trades until you remove it from its chart.

Check these first#
You can ask these of any tool that says it protects a prop firm account.
- Does it stop the robot, or does it close positions after they are open?
- Which positions can it close: only the ones opened through it, or every one on the account?
- If it closes a position, can the robot open another a moment later?
- Does it act when your terminal is closed or offline?
- What is the daily loss measured from, and at what hour does the day reset?
How Oathra shows which case applies#
Guardian tracks your limits and warns you before one is crossed, on both plans.
On the paid plan Guardian can close positions when a limit is crossed, if you switch that on. By default it closes only positions opened through Oathra, so a robot's own trades stay open. It closes a robot's trades only if you allow it to close every open position on the account.
A robot's own trades are closed only if you allow Guardian to close every open position on the account. Guardian never stops a robot from opening new trades.
